Fruition Friday #9: How-to Get In Touch With Your Subconscious With This Tool

The subconscious is the key to solving most deep rooted problems. Your conscious gets stubborn and does what it wants, but eventually your subconscious will take you right back to what was planned from the start.

Can we trust what we openly feel or say? Not necessarily. Most of us are trained by our parents, teachers, and society how to think, feel and act. We tend to think that everybody else knows what's good for us. Yet, it really is ourselves that know better than that. If only we could tap into ourselves, our most inner desires to reach our real potential.

Science fiction? I'd say not. Our tool, the pendulum. Yes, the simple tool that you see in the movies that get people to do crazy stage stunts that they would otherwise do. But it's not like that at all. We cannot take over someone else's thoughts to control them without their consent. It's movie glitz taken overboard. Our minds believe only what it wants to believe, therefore if we make ourselves hypnotizable to do unheard of feats, it's only because we want to do and blame it on some kind of magic.

Using a pendulum is serious business. You can't expect it to fortell something your unconscious doesn't know. It's not magic or mystical. Your subconscious moves the pendulum to communicate with the conscious part of you. Granted there are those who believe they can get in touch with their angels or entities. But I'm not writing to talk about that subject. I'll leave that to those who use this tool for that purpose. My purpose is to reach the subconscious, at least for now.

Choose Your Pendulum

You can use anything as your pendulum. From your favorite piece of jewelry attached to a string to a crystal quartz from a metaphysical store. For practice, I'd say use whatever you have on hand. Eventually buy or make something personal for you because it's a tool you will use and build a relationship with your subconscious. Make it personal, let your subconscious know you mean business and you respect the answers you receive from it.

I bought myself a clear quartz pendulum. I chose the one that vibed with me. I usually choose my crystals by holding each one, letting it communicate with my subconscious and sending it's vibrations through my hands and body. Some have vibrated on the hand I was holding it in or I had a sudden wave of heat go through my body. It was different with every quartz I encountered.

Getting Your Pendulum Ready

Once you found your pendulum, you need to program it to your subconscious. You must find out how your subconscious communicated a "yes" answer and a "no" answer. Follow these steps:

  1. Swing your pendulum back and forth, to give it a kickstart motion.
  2. Think of something you know is true. An example is "Am I wearing shoes right now?" You should know the answer is true because you either are wearing shoes at that moment or not. Although I wouldn't want to confuse your answer by purposely wearing one shoe on one foot and not wearing one on the other.
  3. Watch carefully how the pendulum swings. Notice if it swing clockwise or counterclockwise or up/down or left/right. This will be your answer for "yes".
  4. It's best to record the answer on a paper that you will swing your pendulum over. I forget which answer was what.
  5. Do the steps 1-4 again for your "no" answer.

Your First Session

I would write all your questions on a paper first. Since it's your first session, it gets nerve wrecking when you can't recall what to ask the pendulum. Basically, you'll go through each question and swing the pendulum, watching for the answer. You have to remember to ask yes or no type of questions. Be patient. Don't think of what you want the answer to be. If you do, you will tend to control the pendulum to a faulty answer. Trust that you will get the answer and think of the question on hand, not the answer. Record the answer.

When you're done, take care to notice the answers. Have gratitude for the communication your subconscious made with you. You can ask interrelated questions to help clarify the initial question if it helps. Make sure it's specific because general questions confuse the subconscious.

What Was Your Experience?
